PARTIAL DENTURES
A partial denture is designed to replace several missing teeth. Partial dentures usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum colored plastic bases, which are connected by a metal framework. Partial dentures are removable and rely on adjacent teeth to support them by utilizing metal clasps. These clasps anchor the partial denture to natural teeth to keep the partial denture securely in place while still allowing the patient to remove it for proper cleaning and maintenance. Placing crowns on your natural teeth may be necessary to improve the fit of the removable partial denture. Dr. Frey will work closely with you to ensure that your new partial denture is esthetically pleasing and allows you to eat and speak normally.
